J. Michael’s Auction, Inc. continues to offer the most  innovative, turn-key auction, inventory, and vehicle lien services, in the industry.

Our roots started in 1990 when we were approached by an auctioneer and asked to assist his company with auctions, Soon after J. Michael's purchased part of that auctioneer's business consisting of approximately 25 facilities and moved into rented office space in Brea, CA.  Included in the purchase were both Shurgard Storage (now Public Storage) and Extra Space Storage.  Michael Joyce was appointed President at that time. Those coming years after the purchase showed a hugh increase in the growth of both of those storage companies.

J. Michael's diversified his services to include Lock cutting, video taping the inventories, DMV Lien services and Vehicle Verification services. This provided the turn key services wanted by our customers.  The added convenience of a central office where all our customers contacted someone for information provides just another innovation not offered by any other auctioneer.  J. MIchael's provided not just an auctioneer service but a full service  Auction Company.

J. Michael's Auction was incorporated in May of 2000.  The growth of the company was skyrocketing.  In the year 2000 we had over 200 facilities in Southern California.  Our customers were so pleased with our integrity and customer service they offered us more growth out of Southern California. We were soon traveling to Northern California, Nevada and Utah to do auctions for our customers.

  Steven Hoffman was hired to run the operations in Northern California. There were 12 facilities in Northern California  when Mr. Hoffman started and his responsibilities grew to over 125 facilities in the next two years. We hired several other people over those years including Cheril Joyce and Steven Wilson. Cheril still runs our office and DMV Liens. Mr. Wilson is still associated with our company but has moved on to commercial flight instruction in Southern California.

Today J. Michael's Auction, Inc. has 14 employees and over 400 facilities.   Jeff Gregory now runs our Northern California Operations. Although we do not service Nevada or Utah any more our California growth continues.  We now provide auctions for moving and storage companies. We do abandonment auctions at apartment, business, condo and homes for lawyers, reality companies  and banks.

J. Michael's  set the standards for the industry by implementing our innovative and forward-looking ideas and goals.
